Renovations

I nod to ayame as we finish the changin of the room and i place my hand on my side." Impressive work kiddo." I smile and pat her head. "You can go rest im going to excersize a bit." I lookout the newly set window and feel useless. "damn it this is insane..why must i stay here and rot as the world crumbles.... " I exhale and walk to my weights. "i must become stronger..." I lift one of the larger weights and lift it one handed. "I will not let this get me down..."

After several hours i continue to excersize preforming a one handed hand stand and lifting the weight my my feet. "Im still to weak"


"I will get stronger i will not be stopped..i must become indestructible...invincible...immortal..."

*After her day with Kyousuke, Rizu took some time to think about her father. She decided that, before going back to the world of the living, she would take a moment to ask him a few questions. She walks through Rukongai, following her father's aura until it becomes stronger towards the outlands.* Hmm...wonder what he's doing out here?

*Rizu follows his aura up to where she finds him, lifting weights in precarious positions. She stands several feet away, tilting her head anxiously as she wrings her hands.* Papa?

I look up and kick the weight up and over to a corner making a large crack in the ground. "hey dear. "I flip to my feet. "whats wrong pup?" I look at you lovingly.

*Rizu steadies herself as the ground shakes from the impact of the weight. She smiles, always amazed by her father's strength as she runs over to give him a hug.* Mm, nothing in particular. I suppose I just have questions...about her, I mean.

I hug you and smile." Sure dear anything i can to to help ease your mind" I smile and takeout chairs and ayame comes in with snacks. "Ask away dear."

*Sighing nervously, Rizu clings to her father and looks up at him.* I don't really know where to start papa...I just... *Looking away briefly, she takes a short pause.* ...Were we ever a family?

"yes. long ago before you could remember" I think to myself and smile. " it was a good time then before i found out what she was doing..." I frown " i will tell you all you wish to know so dont hold back."

*Clinging tighter, she shifts her eyes around in her anxiety before settling for her feet.* How...how long ago? I...was born here right? *Rizu pauses for longer this time, trying to organize her thoughts.* Where did it go wrong...

"A very long time a go dear...and yes you were born here." I sit in the chair. "Your mother..she was not well from the start. she killed without remourse and yet something was odd about her. i dont know what it was but she was more like a demo n that a human. often calling herself another name..its been so long i cannot remember what it was."

*Rizu sits down on the ground by her father's feet, hugging her knees as she mumbles quietly.* I...I know it's stupid, I was so young...I just wish I could remember, so I could know what it was like...before this... *She sighs again, hugging her knees tighter.* I feel like there's so much missing...I didn't know any of this, what else don't I know? I don't even know enough to ask questions about it all.

"why must something be missing?" I smile "She loved you til she was taken away and she still loves you now nothing is missing." I kiss your forehead. "Your mother is your mother and she will always love you no matter what happens to her shell never regret anything she did in your name."

*Rizu smiles half heartedly, looking up at her father with wide, saddened eyes.* That's true...I could feel that. It...it just... *She shakes her head in frustration, running her fingers through her hair.* ...Then why does it feel like there's so much more to my past that I don't understand?!

I smile. " why know the past? its the future and preasent you should focus on. If you focus so much on the past you will never make it anywhere now. Come all will be revealed in time. Whats fair is foul, and whats foul is fair.

*Rizu looks up at her father as he speaks, blinking in slight surprise.* She was quoting Shakespeare, too... *She slumps her shoulders and rests her chin on her knees, closing her eyes.* I know you're right papa...there's just...it feels like... *She sighs, thinking back to what Kyousuke said to her.* ...Like...a hole has been punched through my soul. *As she finishes speaking, she shivers at how true the words feel to her.*

"What you feel is that missed chance to connect with your mother..she loved shakespear.." I grin " Find her she will tell you more than i ever could. but hurry i fear for the stabilityof the world."

*She opens her eyes and looks up at her father, nodding slowly.* I'll go back to the world of the living then. *Rizu sighs, standing herself up reluctantly.* It feels like the entire world is on my shoulders papa...but I will find her.

"No matter the outcome ill always be proud of you my dear." I smile and pat your head. "and she will too " I kiss your forehead.

*Rizu hugs her father tightly, fighting back the tears in the corners of her eyes threatening to fall.* I know...that's all that really matters papa. I just want you to be proud of me... *She looks up at him, smiling meekly.* ...Mama too.. *She lets go reluctantly and stands up straight.* Take care of yourself papa, so I don't have to. *She grins and turns around to leave.*
